About Me
Growing up in the Delaware County area, I began playing softball at the age of 8 for NSPL. At 10 years old I began taking private pitching lessons with Courtney Hankes McGovern and joined the NSPL Rebels travel team. Two years later in 2002, I joined my first tournament team, Chaos. In 2013 I joined Delco Rage. I became the starting pitcher for Rage for the next four years leading my team to numerous victories and championships. Meanwhile, as a sophomore I worked my way as starting pitcher for Marple Newtown High School's softball team. Two years later in 2008 I was named Co-Captain during my senior year. Througout my four years playing for Marple High school I was named First Team All Delco and First Team All Central. That summer, I was recruited to pitch and hit clean up for Elizabethtown College's softball team. I was the starting pitcher all four years from 2008-2012 leading the Blue Jays to playoffs and achieving winning reccords. I ended my senior year at Elizabethtown as the third most winningest pitcher in program history with 43 victories in 89 appearances. I was named Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week, Commonwealth Conference Pitcher of the Week and awarded team MVP for our team.
Over the past eight years I have worked with various tournament, travel and high school teams throughout the region. This includes both private and group softball and fitness instruction. Aside from softball, my other passion is fitness! Looking back over my high school and college softball years, I wish I had dedicated more time to my fitness and nutrition. That is why I am a big advocate for physical training for my girls! I provide personal training and programing in addition to my softball lessons. I have over six years of coaching experience at CrossFit Delaware Valley in Broomall, PA and Crossfit Lock60 in Phoenixville, PA. My fitness certifications include: - American Counsel of Exercise (ACE) - Crossfit Level 2 - Crossfit Kids - USSA Weightlifting In June of 2019, SCORE of Chester County and Delaware County presented myself and five additional small business owners with their Annual Small Business of Year Award. In addition, in March of 2020, the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce presented me with the 2020 SCORE Business of the Year award. Soon after I was featured in the Delco Times!
